Writing a Memoir

Chiké Frankie Edozien

Date: TBA
Duration: 2 hours
Time: 2PM GMT
Class Size: 20 max
This class will take place online via Zoom and is open to students from anywhere.

We all have our stories to tell. From the tiniest moments of joy to the days we wish we’d all forget about. Writing about yourself, however, can be the most daunting task out there. And yet, it can also be one of the most liberating forms of writing. Introspection and reflection, diving deep into oneself and revealing even the most intimate moments require courage. In this masterclass, the award-winning writer of the critically acclaimed memoir Lives of Great Men: Living and Loving as an African Gay Man will help you overcome the fear of personal writing and guide you towards working on a memoir (essay-length or book-length). In addition to memoir writing, the tutor will discuss ways to make you achieve your general nonfiction goals.
